Dear Batchmates,

This is just to say thank you for all of your support in making our 20th year reunion a big success. Thank you to all those who gave financial support in the form of pledges, to those who gave their valuable time and effort in the planning and execution of the reunion, and to those who made the effort to attend the reunion.

Just to give a quick recap (report to follow later. nakakahilo pa ang Christmas at New Year's activities.),

1) There were about a hundred attendees; more or less 90 batchmates and about 10 spouses or soon to be spouse (tama ba, Mr. Paul?).

2) The "Ang Bahay ng Alumni" proved to be a good venue. We had the place all to ourselves. Thanks to Philip Escudero for negotiating the rental fee for the place and the use of the lcd projector and projection screen.

3) We started around 7 in the evening and ended around 1 a.m..

4) Father Faul Asuncion led the batch in the opening prayer and a minute of silence for the batchmates who have gone ahead and joined the Creator in heaven.

5) We had several games - walang kamatayang newspaper dance and kiss me contest.

6) There were some awards given out (thanks to Esmer for working on the categories and the certificates).

7) Dondi Orlina and Sheila Quemado proved very able hosts. We even had a surprise song number from Sheila

8) Food was more than enough. May Fe handled talking with the caterer and choosing the menu. We had a lechon baka, yummy, thanks to Armand's insistence that it was worth it. He was right.

9) Drinks were overflowing, both hard and soft. Thanks to Kiks Hernandez for the canned softdrinks from coca-cola export and the hard drinks (also solicited by him but can't remember from whom at the moment), to Tonio Bautista for the tropical ice carbonated flavored water and to Ned Pascua for the keg of san miguel draft beer.

10) The registration, program and contests were efficiently handled by the gang of Lorica Lim, Tet Ubaldo, Rosalie Serrano and Heidi Samson. di ko na maalala kung sino pa yung iba but thank you.

11) Concon worked on the batch directory with the help of Dideth Torres. Again thank you. Version 1 pa lang so there will be revisions and improvements to follow. Will send you guys in the states or wherever a copy, siguro soft copy na lang ha.

12) Noah Lacanilao tried his best to complete the cd version of our sulyap but di nakayanan so we will have to wait a little longer. Sorry, batchmates. we'll try to have it out before march 2004. Noah gave us a sneak preview of what the cd sulyap would be like. He also came up with a collage of pictures which brought us down memory lane and the corrdiors of the UPIS. Konti na lang maiiyak na sana ako. Thanks also to Allan Bornas for the use of his IBM laptop (ayan, Caloy Llamas, libreng plugging ng kompanya mo ha. Thanks also for volunteering your laptop, unfortunately di natuloy.

13) We also had a duo sing for us retro 80s hits

14) Ramon "Travolta" Miciano started the dancing. Marami pala tayong mahilig sumayaw! Next reunion or party uli, whichever comes first.

15) I think everybody had a great time reminiscing about the good old days and hanging out with old friends. Di natapos ang pag-flash ng mga cameras.

16) Nabitin yata yung ibang tao so they brought the party to east st. louis in bohol ave. Di ko na alam kung anong oras sila natapos doon.

We have more challenges before us. In 2008, we will be the sponsoring batch. We will handle the grand reunion at UPIS and take care of batch 1958 which will be celebrating its golden anniversary. Hopefully, we can also come up with a project that will benefit our beloved alma mater which is besieged with a lot of problems.

I'm sure, with everybody's help and support, we can take on the challenge.

Thank you very much.

MICHAEL BENIPAYO
Chairman
Reunion Committee

p.s. Comments/suggestions about the reunion and future activities will be appreciated. Thanks.
